Southampton County out-performed themselves for last year’s harvest, producing ~115.94% more than 2023 (49.7 mil. lbs.). Local farmers continue to make Southampton County the #1 producer of peanuts in Virginia!

Other areas Southampton County hit the Top 5 in producing:

#1 in Cotton: 83,300 lbs

#2 in Corn for Grain: 2.502 mil lbs.

#3 in Soybeans: 802,000 lbs.
