New Faces at FBC
…Means More Services and Jobs in Franklin Southampton!
We received several applicants to the Franklin Business Center program during the July and September rounds and are thrilled to announce and welcome three (3) new businesses that have recently been approved by our advisory board and have signed leases or “virtual office” program agreements to join the Franklin Business Center community!
Trusted Residential Agency, LLC – Regina Brown of Franklin, Virginia, is also the owner and operator of Trusted Home Healthcare, LLC, located at the Franklin Business Center since September of 2023, and is licensed in the State of Virginia to provide home health care services. Through her home-health-related work in the community, she also noticed a growing need for in-home residential services for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Ms. Brown developed Trusted Residential Agency, LLC and has anchored it here in our “virtual” office while establishing the additional licensing and protocols needed to refer other licensed providers who open their homes to individuals with this type of disability who need skill-building, routines, safety, and adaptive support within a family-like setting. These providers act as subcontractors and are responsible for the residents’ overall support needs including community access, health, socialization, and personal care. Sponsored residential services offer a more person-centered approach than traditional group homes and aim to help individuals achieve greater independence and a higher quality of life. Grateful Hands Home Health Care, LLC – Owned by Ms. Lakitia Warren of Zuni, Virginia, this business was recently approved to participate in the “virtual” office program here at the Franklin Business Center to be as a provider of home-health related, non-medical services to seniors, adults with disabilities, post-surgical patients and families needing respite care. Ms. Warren is currently establishing her licensing with the State of Virginia, as well as other regulatory compliance items. Grateful Hands Home Health Care, LLC will work with private-pay clients and limited waiver program clients to start and then add services Medicaid beneficiaries under state programs. Ms. Warren looks forward to putting her compassionate mindset, strong work ethic, and great customer service practices into action for the greater good of our community. Careworthy Home Healthcare Services, LLC – owned by Ms. Alanis Dillard of Portsmouth, Virginia, this business was recently approved to participate in the “virtual” office program here at the Franklin Business Center as she works towards becoming a provider of home-health related, non-medical services to elderly persons, patients with chronic illness or post-surgical recovery needs, or those needing assistance with daily living. The Franklin Business Center will give Ms. Dillard the opportunity to launch her business in an affordable office space with in-house mentors, resources and professional development opportunities. Ms. Dillard has an associate’s degree in medical assisting, has phlebotomy and EKG training, and over 8 years of experience working in the healthcare field.
