Brewing Up Business Celebrates National Small Business Appreciation Week

For more than 60 years, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has celebrated National Small Business Week, which acknowledges the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners.
National Small Business Week is an annual event that happens April 28th to May 4th, 2024, and is officially recognized by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). During this time, the vital contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners are celebrated. The City of Franklin and Southampton County also acknowledge this event.
Franklin Southampton Economic Development, Inc. (FSEDI) and Franklin Southampton Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a “Brewing Up Business” to celebrate National Small Business Appreciation Week on Friday, May 3rd. A fantastic networking event, this Brewing Up Business served a continental breakfast provided by Fred’s Restaurant. Additionally, there was a brief business program featuring guest speakers from the Hampton Roads Small Business Development Center (SBDC), the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce, and other beneficial business resources.
A big “THANK YOU” to our local business owners for your hard work, ingenuity, dedication, and contributions to the economy and quality of life in Franklin Southampton!
