FSEDI is Looking for a Tourism Director

Franklin Southampton Economic Development, Inc.(FSEDI) – Tourism Director

 

Franklin Southampton Economic Development, Inc. (FSEDI), the economic development agency for the City of Franklin and Southampton County, Virginia, is searching for a Tourism Director position.  This position will be our first full-time Tourism Director. 

 

The Tourism Director will help develop and staff our new Franklin Southampton Visitor’s Center.  The person will also work closely with the new Southampton History Museum, including having duties with the Museum as well as with the Franklin Southampton tourism program administered by FSEDI.  The position will be housed in the FSEDI offices in the Franklin Business Center as well as the new Southampton History Museum in Courtland.

 

The Tourism Director will work under the general direction of the FSEDI Board of Directors.  An Associate’s Degree is required, along with four years of direct experience in hospitality, tourism development, marketing, public relations or a related industry.  A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. Additional experience can be substituted on a one-to-one year basis for experience up to two years.  Flexible hours and locations are required.  The salary range is negotiable, based on experience and qualifications.
