Pinecrest Timber Opens New Location

Pinecrest Timber, a family-owned company that provides trucking for the logging industry, held a ribbon-cutting at their new facility on April 17.  Owned by Michael Everett, the company reclaimed land from a former hog processing facility to construct a beautiful new facility on Ivor Road in Courtland that blends in well with its surroundings after a long process that involved excavating portions of the site to remove concrete and potential hazards.

Mr. Everett’s company employs 42 people. Pinecrest Trucking will be a substantial new generator of employment, machinery and tools tax as well as property tax revenue for Southampton County. We greatly appreciate the time and effort that the company put into this project. Southampton County and its residents will benefit for years to come by this investment and new employment generator.
